John worked at a boutique content marketing company for years. His passion for visually depicting the honest and often untold stories within our community is what brought him to PBS Utah. During his time in public media, he has earned nine Rocky Mountain Emmy awards, as well as one NETA award for his cinematography work.
His passion for impactful documentaries has led John to immerse himself in diverse communities throughout the state of Utah. Dedicating himself to the honest story telling for those who are often overlooked.
Filming in the northern Province of Zambia, Africa. John volunteered his time to produce a non-profit documentary about the educational efforts of one NGO and the immeasurable impact they have had on the lives of students and teachers there.
John believes that there are few mediums that can enact social change the way a documentary can and it is this pursuit that drives his work.
